Kee Dome^® is a modular system designed specifically to prevent falls through skylights, roof lights and dome lights. The modular Kee Dome system allows contractors and maintenance crews to access rooftops for repair and maintenance work safely and easily without the risk of falling through glazed areas.

Why do you need Kee Dome Skylight Railing?

Quick Assembly

The Kee Dome^® system has standard components which can be assembled around the designated area with maximum speed. These include vertical posts, hand and knee rails with associated 90° corner components, and special recycled PVC feet with clamping rings.

Fully Modular

Although designed as a permanent solution, the Kee Dome^® system is fully modular, so it can also be expanded to suit any size skylight. It’s one solution for many different sizes. The system is suitable for use on all roof surfaces, with a maximum pitch of 3°.

Fully Compliant

Kee Dome^® uses industry-leading Kee Klamp^® components that are galvanised, making the system long-lasting and virtually maintenance-free. Kee Dome^® has also been independently tested to BS EN ISO 14122 Part 3 and OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.23.

Protecting People from a Dangerous Hazard

Kee Dome creates a barrier around the skylight to prevent workers from contacting the skylight. This system protects the skylight with a non-penetrating railing without damaging or puncturing the roof.

- My skylight is extremely large, will Kee Dome Work?
  
  Yes, Kee Dome’s modular design is able to protect the largest of skylights.
- I need to protect skylights on a metal roof, can I use Kee Dome?
  
  Kee Dome is recommended for use on flat membrane roofs only. We do have custom railing solutions for metal roofs, however, simply contact one of our experts to start solving your problem today.
- I have bars on the inside of my skylight, are these fall protection?
  
  The bars welded inside of a skylight are commonly known as “burglar bars” and are designed to keep thieves out of your facility, not to protect from the impact of a fall. Furthermore, these bars do not protect workers or equipment below the opening from being struck by shards of the broken dome or potential biological contaminants should an impact occur. Kee Safety does not recommend using burglar bars as fall protection.
- Do I need to protect every skylight on my roof?
  
  In simple terms, yes. In 1910.28(b)(3)(i) OSHA states that employees must be protected from any hole 4' or higher above a lower level. However, we recommend partnering with a Kee Safety Expert to help prioritise the fall hazards on your roof using a risk-assessment based approach.
